Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Analytics (Senior Web Analytics Developer)

LeadVenture is looking for a Digital/Web Analyst Specialist to build and maintain a state-of-art digital analytics program, to provide digital analytics insights across multiple web platforms and thousands of sites. This individual will play an essential role in the organization by providing effective insights to understand the customer journey and how to optimize websites for customer success. This person will also oversee the data collection with various LeadVenture's digital intelligence systems and be the steward of data transformation and third-party integration with a Tag Management System. This will include working together with the Analytics Team Lead and Product Owner, directly with LeadVenture’s data lake engineers and stakeholders across the organization, including Marketing, Operations, Sales, IT, and more.

The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, good business sense, and a strong passion for analytics. This candidate will think creatively and strategically and must understand how to tie digital website information directly to business insights and third-party applications. The candidate must be comfortable solving ambiguously defined problems, working with cross-functional team members, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve digital analytics.

Here is more of what you’ll get to do:

  • Work as an active participant on a full-time remote agile team
  • Become a go-to SME regarding tracking and analytics tooling
  • Design, build, test, monitor, and provide quality assurance of our Web data layer and web tags/pixels
  • Work closely with web developers, data engineers, and IT to ensure seamless tracking implementation, data collection, and multichannel data integration. Candidate must understand web analytics, content management, and data collection
  • Analyze business requirements. Clearly articulate the 'why' in addition to the 'what' while educating business stakeholders on digital analytics
  • Mapping core/enterprise tracking to third-party agencies
  • Manage troubleshooting to identify missing or misconfigured tagging needed for reporting and analysis
  • Maintain our Tag Management platform, releases, and enhancements needed to support business processes and goals
  • Provide motivation, collaboration, and guidance to the development team to build according to your design.
  • Build relationships with the main stakeholders: directors, internal leadership team, and external customers to ensure that your designed system architecture meets everyone's expectations

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 4+ years of JavaScript, HTML, CSS Experience (Websites and SPAs)
  • 3+ years of experience with digital analytics and tool administration systems (Google Analytics, Piwik, etc)
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing a Tag Management Platform (Google Tag Manager, Adobe DTM, Tealium, etc)
  • Experience with data layer concepts, data modeling & governance, digital analytics, implementation, and event handling methods via the DOM event model
  • Experience working with jQuery, Regular Expressions, HTML CSS selectors
  • Excellent browser debugging skills with debugging tool experience (Websites and SPAs)
  • Basic familiarity with digital marketing services, including SEO, SEM, and Email Marketing
  • Strong data interpretation and communications skills; proven ability to summarize and present
  • complex findings clearly and concisely to various technical and management levels
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, combined with an internal drive to stay on top of emerging industry trends
  • A natural tendency to set goals, demonstrate a ‘go-getter’ attitude, and take initiative with little oversight
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with JS Frameworks
  • Knowledge of Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) like Agile
  • Familiarity with ETL and data modeling, specifically in AWS Data Lake environment preferred
  • Familiarity in data visualization tools including BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Amazon Quicksight
